Thought I could do it
but it’s all too much for me.
When does time heal wounds?
Putting myself through
an unnecessary blaze.
It stings a little.
Grieving a lost limb.
I know I am not alone
but life is lesser.
Not everyone wins
but we try ever the same
and hope for the best.
Just because you can’t
read it doesn’t mean I’m not
collapsing inside.
We are all allowed
to have some fun but I thought
mine would include you.
We wonder if they
ever think of us as much
as we think of them.
The winter abounds
but fills us all with great hope.
A chance for re-birth?
Depression, can you
please go away? I’ve given
you all that I have.
